For DJ Amy Alderman, music has always been an intricate part of her life. A native of Richmond, VA, Amy’s extensive music background extends over 30 years, as a drummer/percussionist & drum instructor, a music theory & composition student, a radio broadcaster, drummer in her own band leading up to DJ/Remixer and Producer.

Amy has earned several awards and recognition along the way. Amy made her way to the booth in the early 1990s, learning the art of mixing vinyl; it was an instant match as her passion continued to emerge. A residency soon followed and Amy continued to attract more listeners while diligently growing and creating her own style which celebrates her passion and love of music. Her style showcases her drumming experience which incorporates a certain syncopation that sets her apart from others. When talking to Amy, you can feel her intensity and see the energy in her eyes. Amy is a talent to watch and hear now and in the future. Her dedication, her drive, and her love for music will take her there.
